Eight-Year-Old Gives Up Gifts to Buy Food for 100 Families

jhj_320x214_0-300x200Jerry Hatcher Jr. is being called a Christmas hero — and rightfully so.  The eight-year-old was given $400 to buy a Playstation 4 for Christmas.  Most young (and even old) males would jump at the opportunity to purchase one.  Instead, he acted on his desire to help those that aren’t as fortunate as he is.

Money in hand, Hatcher Jr. went to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and bought breakfast for families of sick patients before wishing them a Merry Christmas.  The act of kindness caught on, leading others to chip in when Hatcher Jr.’s funds started to run dry.  Before it was all said and done, it is estimated that he helped feed 100 families.

Learn how the Hatcher family was so moved by the experience that they plan to up the ante for Christmas Eves to come.
